It can be scary watching your teen get behind the wheel of a car. The fact is, they just don't have the driving experience that you wish they had. The old saying goes "Practice makes perfect," but even with Drivers Education courses, teen drivers do not go into driving with a lot of knowledge and experience. Mopar wants to help with that.

Mopar and Dodge realize that there are a lot of teen driving accidents, so they want to try to prevent some of those with a teen safe-driving program called "Mopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge." This program gives students more instruction and actually driving time to help them be safer and smarter when they get behind the wheel.

This program is for students who have already had some driving experience because the goal of this program is to give them even more experience to keep them safer. This program is free and it is available to teens between the ages of 15-19 with a learner's permit or driver's license and at least 30 hours of driving experience. The instructors of this course are from the B.R.A.K.E.S. organization and they have both classroom education and hands-on training as part of the course.

This program starts in the classroom with some of the basics, but then it moves out to on-track course sessions. These sessions cover more advanced things that teens may not encounter in other driving programs. Some of the hands-on sessions include including accident avoidance (slalom), distraction, panic stop, wheel drop and wet skid pad. This course really attempts to give teens more experience to make them smarter and safer on the road. This course starts in the fall and goes throughout the year at multiple locations listed below.
