Technology is a huge part of all of our lives. That is why, FCA is always working to make it an important part of your vehicles. There have been many new innovations with technology and cars, but FCA isn't stopping anytime soon. Now, FCA is debuting 4G LTE network connectivity in the all-new fourth-generation Uconnect 8.4 and 8.4 NAV systems.

This new 4G LTE network will begin with vehicles for the model year 2017, with vehicles such as the Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger and Chrysler 300. With this system, these vehicles will have an expanded and more reliable network coverage.

"The advancement from 3G Network to 4G LTE network capability gives our customers a great opportunity to expand upon and explore the efficiency and convenience that our built-in connected services have to offer," said Tricia Hecker, Global Head of Connected Services. "As our Uconnect systems continue to develop new services and features, this increase of network connectivity allows our systems to evolve and progress as technology changes." 

The Uconnect system is the system that has been FCA's in-vehicle connectivity center since 2003 with Uconnect Access connected services in 2012. The Unconnect system offers many different things for the driver and passengers such as:

·         Entertainment

o   AM, FM, HD or satellite radio

o   Bluetooth streaming audio

o   CD player

o   USB and AUX port

·         Handsfree Call or texting solutions

·         Navigation

o   Bluetooth streaming audio

o   CD player

o   USB and AUX port

 

These services and more will be easier to use with upgrade to the 4G LTE network capability. Be looking out for models that have the upgraded 4G LTE connectivity.
